Account Deletion
At Memoring, you have full ownership and control over your account and personal data. This guide outlines how to delete your account, our deletion timelines, and how to cancel a request if you change your mind.
How to delete your account in the app
You can initiate an account deletion directly within the Memoring mobile application at any time by following these steps:
- Open the Memoring app on your device.
- Navigate to your Profile tab.
- Tap the three dots (⋮) menu in the top right corner.
- Select the Delete Account option from the menu.
- Read the confirmation notice and confirm your request to submit it.
Deletion timeline (90 days)
Once you submit an account deletion request, your account is immediately deactivated and queued for permanent removal. All associated data—including your profile details, voice captures, transcribed notes, reminder schedules, and preferences—will be permanently deleted from our database within 90 days.
30-day grace period to cancel deletion
If you change your mind after requesting deletion, you have a 30-day recovery window:
- To cancel your deletion request, simply re-login to the Memoring app within 30 days of submitting the request.
- Verifying your account credentials upon login will automatically cancel the deletion process and restore full access to your account and saved data.
- After 30 days have passed, the deletion request becomes final and irreversible, and data cannot be recovered.
What data will be deleted
Upon completion of the deletion process, the following data is permanently purged:
- Account credentials: Your email address, profile information, and authentication records (including linked Google Sign-In associations and profile images).
- Voice recordings: All uploaded audio captures and voice memos.
- Transcripts & Notes: All transcribed text, structured tasks, and AI summaries.
- Reminders & Calls: Scheduled reminder timestamps, callback records, and notification tokens.
